Zusammenfassung

Im Kulturfiltrat intakter Zellen von Nocardia petroleophila wurden C1-C9-Fettsäuren (ohne C2-Alternanz) als Produkt des n-Decan- oder n-Undecan-Abbaues nachgewiesen. Dabei lagen die niederen Homologen in relativ größerer Menge vor als die höheren, weil sie vermutlich langsamer angegriffen werden.

CO2 war ein weiteres Oxydationsprodukt der von intakten Zellen verwerteten Kohlenwasserstoffe.

Bernsteinsäure reicherte sich als ein Endprodukt des allgemeinen Stoffwechsels im Kulturmedium an.

Die genannten Carbonsäuren wurden auch in der Zellsubstanz aufgefunden.

Kohlenstoff aus n-Decan, n-Undecan und CO2 wurde in relativ beträchtlichem Umfange in die Aminosäuren der Zellen eingebaut (assimiliert).

Es wird ein monoterminaler Angriff auf die Alkane mit nachfolgendem völligen Abbau der C-Kette der intermediär auftretenden Fettsäuren durch C1-Körperabspaltung angenommen.
