Summary

The quantitative estimation of chlorophyll in 28 wheat varieties showed significant differences. The amount of chlorophyll ranged from 1.78 to 2.95 mg/g of green leaf. The character in the F2 generation of the cross between C273 and S413 showed monogenic control with no dominance. The heritability of the character was very high.
