Abstract

The recent developments on the chemistry of the composites are discussed. Several unusual new types isolated from species of this family are represented. The relevance of the constituents in connection with taxonomic and phylogenetic aspects are outlined. Biogenetical considerations are discussed briefly and some biological activities are reported.
