Occurrence of ferritin-like particles in a fungus

Summary

Arrays of particles resembling phytoferritin in size, form and distribution, have been observed associated with lipoidal globules in sporangiophores and developing sporangia of Phycomyces. These particles were relatively electron dense even when staining with lead citrate was omitted.
