Summary

The genital apparatus of Urogonimus macrostomus (Rudolphi, 1803) has been studied by SEM and light microscopy. The distinct muscular “seminal vesicle” and metraterm, cirrus and cirrus pouch, together with uterus and gonadal arrangement are described. The situation of the genital, excretory and Laurer's canal openings are revealed by SEM, beside the tegumental topography concerning spine and papillae distribution at the posterior end. The present results are compared with previous studies on Urogonimus Monticelli, 1888 and Leucochloridium Carus, 1835 (sensu Kagan, 1952) species.
