Carpaltunnelsyndrom bei pseudarthrosebildung nach isolierter fraktur des os capitatum

Summary

A rare case of well adapted and radiologically invisible capitatum fracture is reported resulting in a pseudarthrosis with pain and median nerve irritation 2/12 years following trauma.

The difficulty in diagnosis of such well adapted rare fractures is pointed out and electromyography is demonstrated as a good method to diagnose a carpal-tunnel syndrome in cases of pseudarthrosis.

Zusammenfassung

Nach einleitendem Hinweis auf die Seltenheit von Capitatumfrakturen anhand der Literatur wird über einen Fall von beiderseits gleichförmigem Handgelenkstrauma mit Navicularefraktur links und zunächst röntgenologisch nicht sichtbarer, und daher nicht ruhiggestellter Capitatumfraktur rechts, mit nachfolgender Entwicklung einer Capitatumpseudarthrose, sowie Entwicklung eines Carpaltunnelsyndrom durch reaktive Schwellungszustände berichtet.
