Free convection flow of an electrically conducting fluid past a porous flat plate under transverse magnetic field

  • Published:
Applied Scientific Research, Section A Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

An analysis is made of the laminar free convection of a viscous electrically conducting fluid from a hot infinite porous flat plate maintained at constant temperature under transverse magnetic field. Expressions have been obtained for the velocity, magnetic field, skin friction at the plate and the momentum thickness. The effect of the Grashof number and the Prandtl number on these quantities is discussed.
