  • Published:
Molecular and General Genetics MGG Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Measurements of the metabolic stability of ribosomal proteins of exponentially growing Escherichia coli B/r showed that their rate of degradation to free amino acids is zero to within limits of the experimental accuracy of ± 0.7% per hour or ± 0.5% per doubling period.
