Summary

A stable spondylodesis of the cervical spine was obtained by an osteosynthesis with metal plates. The H-plate of the A-O in connection with autologous bone-chips from the iliac crest or Kieler bone and bone cement was used in five cases and resulted in a solid fusion of the affected cervical segments. The development of this technique and the advantages over other methods are demonstrated. The results of our cases reflect the superiority of this procedure.

Zusammenfassung

Das Behandlungsziel einer bewegungsstabilen Spondylodese konnte durch die Anwendung einer Plattenosteosynthese erreicht werden. Die H-Platte der A-O, kombiniert mit autologom kortiko-spongiösem Beckenkammspan bzw. Kieler Spongiosa und Knochenzement, erbrachte in 5 Fallen eine stabile Fixation der betroffenen Halswirbelsegmente. Die Entwicklung dieser Technik und ihre Vorteile gegenüber anderen Verfahren werden aufgezeigt. Anhand der eigenen Kasuistik wird der Wert dieser Methode belegt.
