Summary

An International Symposium on “Short-term Mutagenicity Test Systems for Detecting Carcinogens” was organised in Dortmund from the 15th to 17th November, 1978 by the Bundesanstalt für Arbeitsschutz und Unfallforschung (BAU) under the scientific management of Prof. Dr. K. Norpoth. Papers and discussions principally concerned aspects such as the development, standardisation, interpretation of results, validity, and application of such tests.
