Summary
A total of 124 adult ethmoidal labyrinth were examined. The main osseous features making up its structure could be demonstrated from fetal life through old age (Figs. 1 and 2). The ethmoidal and ethmoido-frontal tracts are systematically demonstrated (Figs. 2, 5, 6, and 7). An isolated model of the ethmoidal labyrinth is being used to demonstrate the morphological bases of surgical interventions: laminectomy of the ethmoidal labyrinth.
Zusammenfassung
Von Erwachsenen wurden 124 Siebbeinlabyrinthe untersucht. Das beständige Vorkommen der knöchernen Hauptelemente im Bauplan des Siebbeinlabyrinths läßt sich vom Embryonalleben bis zum hohen Alter feststellen (Abb. 1 and 2). Die pneumatischen Züge (tractus pneumatici) des Siebbeins und des Siebbein-Stirnbeins wurden systematisiert (Abb. 2, 5, 6 and 7).
Am Beispiel eines ausgesuchten Modells eines Siebbeinlabyrinths stellte man einige morphologische Voraussetzungen für operative Eingriffe vom Typus: „laminaectomiae labytinthi ethmoidalis” vor (Abb. 3–6).
