Summary

Out a total of 200 human ethmoidal labyrinth that were collected from the fourth to the tenth month of fetal life, author selected one that was finally adopted as a comparative reference for biomechanical purposes and as a simplified standard for systematic purposes (Figs. 1–7). The characteristic, segmental arrangement of the pneumatic spaces of the ethmoidal labyrinth (Figs. 2, 3, and 5) provides for their drainage and affords surgery of particular sections in selected cases.

Zusammenfassung

Aus 200 untersuchten Siebbeinlabyrinthen des Menschen (vom 4.–10. Embryonalmonat), wählte man eines als vergleichbares Bezugssystem für biomechanische Zwecke und als eine Art vereinfachtes Muster für den systematischen Gebrauch (Abb. 1–7). Die charakteristischen segmentförmige Anordnung der pneumatischen Räume des Siebbeinlabyrinths (Abb. 2, 3 and 5) ergibt in besonderen pathologischen Fällen die Möglichkeit ihrer Drainage und operativen Sanierung entsprechend einzelner Fragmente.
