An investigation of the external and internal resistance to moisture diffusion in wood

  • Published:
Wood Science and Technology Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

An attempt was made to resolve the resistance to moisture diffusion in wood into its components, namely, the external and internal resistances by using Newmann's solution of Fick's second law. The effect of specimen thickness, moisture content, and temperature on the coefficients were also investigated.
