Summary

A most unusual case of a fungus granuloma of the pituitary gland is presented.

The foggy appearance of the sella turcica confronted with the seemingly hyperlucent sphenoid sinus as well as the concomitant angiographic findings may be perhaps considered a pathognomonic sign of intrasellar inflammation.

Occlusion of the internal carotid by invasion of aspergillus niger.
