Vermian pseudotumor: A potential pitfall of CT brain scanning with contrast enhancement

Summary

The normal inferior vermis may become opacified on CT scans following the administration of intravenous contrast. This normal appearance can be misinterpreted as a vermian tumor. Characteristics are described which should allow differentiation of the normal vermian blush from a true lesion.
