Elektrophoretische Liquoreiweiß-Untersuchungen bei Hirntumor

Summary

• 1. 38 patients suffering from brain tumors have been submitted to 43 spinal fluid electrophoreses. According to the types of tumors, they have been divided into three groups.

• 2. Within the group of patients suffering from malignant glioma and brain metastasis, significant increases of total protein and mixed pherograms of protein fractions Mα ₁ ,α ₂ , γ were found.

• 3. The group of patients suffering from meningioma, neurinoma, and other relatively benign tumors also showed significant general increases of protein and mixed pherograms of protein fractions Mα₁.

• 4. The data of the group of patients suffering from relatively benign glioma (astrocytoma, oligodendroglioma, etc.), however, did not show any statistically significant differences when compared with the other two groups.

Zusammenfassung

• 1. Bei 38 Patienten mit Hirntumor wurden insgesamt 43 Liquorelektrophoresen durchgeführt. Nach Tumorart wurde das Krankengut in drei Gruppen gegliedert.

• 2. Bei der Gruppe der malignen Gliome und Hirnmetastasen wurden signifikante Gesamteiweiß-Erhöhungen und Mischpherogramme vom Typ Mα ₁ , α ₂ , γ festgestellt.

• 3. Die Gruppe der Meningeome, Neurinome u. a. relativ benigne Tumoren ergaben ebenfalls signifikante Gesamteiweiß-Erhöhungen und Mischpherogramme vom Typ Mα ₁ γ.

• 4. Die Daten der Gruppe der relativ benignen Gliome (Astrocytome, Oligodendrogliome u. ä.) zeigten gegenüber den anderen zwei Gruppen keine statistisch signifikanten Abweichungen.
