Summary
A report is presented of 20 Conray ventriculograms carried out by a seriographic technique. A mixture of Conray and physiological saline was injected through a rubber catheter placed in a lateral ventricle with its tip close to the foramen of Monro, and the exposures were made immediately, over the course of 2 sec, using a biplane serial changer with the “ping-pong” technique, and without alteration of the position of the head. Only small amounts of contrast are necessary. Most details are visible immediately after the injection and this technique is most suitable in cases in which a lesion of the third ventricle, aqueduct or posterior cranial fossa is suspected, without complete blockage of the cerebrospinal fluid flow.
B. 3. Ventrikel, Aquädukt und 4. Ventrikel gut sichtbar.
