Summary

200 cases of proven intracranial tumour have been analysed. It appears that in a case of probable raised intracranial, pressure, the changes in the pituitary fossa are more frequently diagnostic of pressure, than examination of the retina. The highest incidence occurs with temporal lobe tumours. — Benign tumours account for the largest number with fossa changes.-14.0% of all tumours had a normal sella.
