Summary

Three points concerning the authors' studies on arterial spasms are reported.—1. Spasms of the internal cervical carotid artery are often transient and seem to react to adrenolytic drugs.—2. Experiments carried out on dogs show that intra-arterial injections of a mixture of drugs reputed to be vasodilatative may provoke arterial spasms.—3. Report of the occurence in one case of a diffuse spasm in the carotid system with diffuse dilatation of the venous system.
