Summary
From a study of some 37 cases from the literature and 2 personal cases of tentorial arteriovenous malformations the authors stress the following points: the malformation is mostly discovered after the age of 40. Repartition with regard to the sex is homogenous. Location in the posterior fossa produces mainly thrills whereas location, in the supratentorial space is correlated with various symptoms; — a precise angiographic study of all cerebral arteries is necessary to make a choice between ligature of the external carotid artery and removal of the malformation.
Résumé
A propos de 37 cas, de la litterature et de 2 cas personnels d'anévrysme arterio-veineux tentoriel les auteurs soulignent les points suivants: manifestation plus fréquente après 40 ans; — répartition homogène dans les deux sexes; — la localisation soustentorielle dans la fosse posterieure s'accompagne surtout de souffles mastoidiens; la traduction clinique de la localisation sus-tentorielle est plus polymorphe. Une étude angiographique précise de toutes les artères cérébrales contribuera au choix du traitement: ligature de la carotide externe ou excision de la lésion.
Zusammenfassung
Übersichtsreferat über 37 Literaturfälle und 2 eigene Beobachtungen von arterio-venösen Mißbildungen im Tentorium-Bereich. Das Erkrankungsalter, die Symptomatik wird beschrieben, ferner werden die erforderlichen Untersuchungen und die Möglichkeiten des operativen Vorgehens geschildert.
