Summary

Meglumine Iothalamate (MI) has been employed for 91 ventriculographies in 87 patients. 1–9 ml of 60 per cent aqueous solution of MI produced good delineation of the ventricular system in most cases. It was particularly useful in demonstrating midline tumours. CSF studies before and after the instillation of MI are reported and adverse reactions and complications are discussed. The procedure is safe and reliable provided that certain precautions are observed.
