Summary

Hemoclip-gelfoam emboli are more efficient than plain gelfoam for therapeutic embolization of arteriovenous malformations because of their weight and length. Additional advantages are ease of handling, fluoroscopic monitoring and suitability for conventional neuroradiological catheters.

Résumé

En raison de leur poids et de leur longueur, les «hémo-clip-gelfoam» sont plus efficaces que le gelfoam simple pour l'embolisation thérapeutique de malformations artérioveineuses. Ils sont, d'autre part, plus faciles à utiliser, à contrôler sour télévision et conviennent aux cathéters neuroradiologiques conventionnels.

Zusammenfassung

Die Vorteile der Hemoclip-Gelfoam Emboli bezüglich Gewicht und Länge bei der Therapeutischen Embolisierung von arteriovenösen Mißbildungen werden hervorgehoben. Ausführliche Beschreibung der Technik.
