Summary
The case is described of a 28 year-old woman with cerebral symptoms since childhood, in whom two angiomas, one in each cerebral hemisphere, 4 aneurysms and ectasia of the intracranial and extracranial arteries of the brain were demonstrated by angiography. The angiomas had a different arterial supply and different venous drainage, with the exception of one common abnormal vein. The aetiology of the different angiodysplasias demonstrated in this patient is discussed. It is thought to be the result of a congenital maldevelopment of the walls of the cerebral arteries.
