A landmark for the choroidal arteries of the fourth ventricle — Branches of the posterior inferior cerebellar artery

Summary

The very variable course of the posterior inferior cerebellar artery, described by anatomists as well as neuroradiologists who have studied it, is confirmed. However, it seems possible to define a fixed point on its course, the so-called choroidal point, with regard to which abnormal displacements can be appreciated. Indeed, the area of choroidal vascularisation is constant in lateral projection. This area is situated on the perpendicular dropped from the midpoint of the so-called T.P. line.

Ce travail confirme le trajet très variable de l'artère cérébelleuse postéro-inférieure, décrit tant par les anatomistes que par les neuroradiologistes qui l'ont étudié. Cependant, il semble possible de définir un point fixe sur son trajet, le point choroïdien, par rapport auquel on pourra apprécier les déplacements anormaux. En effect, la zone de vascularisation choroïdienne est constante sur les projections latérales. Cette zone est située sur la perpendiculaire abaissée à partir du milieu de la ligne T.P.

Der sehr variable Verlauf der A. cerebelli inferior posterior ist bei Anatomen und auch bei Neuroradiologen bekannt. Es scheint trotzdem möglich, einen festen Punkt des Verlaufes anzugeben, den sog. Chorioidalpunkt. Dadurch kann eine Verlagerung bebestimmt werden. Die Region der Chorioidal-Vaskularisation ist in lateraler Projektion konstant. Dieser Bezirkist auf einer Senkrechten vom Mittelpunkt der sog. T.P. Linie gelegen.
