Mutual regulation of magnified bobbed loci in Drosophila melanogaster

  • Published:
Molecular and General Genetics MGG Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

rDNA magnification in D. melanogaster increases the redundancy of that locus to a value higher than the wild type. A magnified locus (bb m) can lose the express copies according to rDNA content of partner sexual chromosome. This paper is a study of behaviour of two bb m loci put together to show their interaction.
