Chromosomal and episomal control of male-specific properties of E. coli-cells

Zusammenfassung

In Populationen von F +- und Hfr-Zellen, welche den Bedingungen einer massiven Infektion durch den RNS-Phagen fr ausgesetzt werden, entstehen Zellen, die sich als fr-resistent und steril gegen F -Zellen erweisen. Es werden Versuche beschrieben, die genetischen Ursachen dieser Erscheinung zu analysieren. Diese läßt sich zurückführen auf 1. Verlust des F-Episoms oder 2. Mutation innerhalb des Episoms oder 3. Mutation im Bakterienchromosom.
