Zusammenfassung
Um das reaktive Verhalten des Trabeculum corneo-sclerale unter Bedingungen der Gewebekultur zu prüfen, wurden bei Meerkatzen (Cercopithecus aethiops) Auto- und Heterotransplantationen von Kammerwinkelgewebsstücken (Elliot-Trepanate) in die Augenvorderkammer durchgeführt. Die lichtmikroskopische und histochemische Aufarbeitung des Materials zeigte, daß das normalerweise hochdifferenzierte Trabekelwerk des Implantates vom 3. Tag post operationem zunehmend entdifferenziert. Zuerst gingen die spezialisierten Endothelien der Innenwand des Schlemmschen Kanals, später die Trabekelmembranen und die intertrabekulären Strömungskanälchen verloren. Die lamelläre Ordnung war nicht mehr erkennbar. Das Gewebe gewann das Aussehen eines undifferenzierten, retikulären Bindegewebes mit homogener Zwischensubstanz und begann vom 9.–11.Tag an in seinen uvealen Partien allmählich zu hyalinisieren. In der Zwischensubstanz ließen sich mit verschiedenen histochemischen Methoden Mucopolysaccharide nachweisen, die z. T. nach Inkubation mit Hodenhyaluronidase verschwanden. Alle Reaktionen fielen jedoch hier deutlich schwächer aus als am Fibroblastengewebe des Implantats, das sich vom 4. Tag an stark vermehrte und in der Regel um den 7.–9. Tag das Implantat ganz einhüllte. Während die Fibroblasten eine intensive Mucopolysaccharidproduktion erkennen ließen, schienen die Trabekelendothelien eher regressiv verändert.
Die Heterotransplantate zeigten im wesentlichen gleiche Veränderungen, nur traten nach 5 Tagen Fremdkörperreaktionen stark in den Vordergrund.
Allgemeinreaktionen des Wirtsauges, insbesondere im Bereich der Kammerbucht, werden beschrieben und diskutiert.
