Summary

A cyanophage AS-1-resistant mutant strain of Anacystis nidulans exhibited a slow rate of nutrient uptake compared to the wild type. The increased Cu++ sensitivity of the mutant could be correlated with higher rates of Cu++ uptake. The results are discussed in the light of alterations in the proteins involved in permeability of the outer membrane.
