Summary
In a light and electron microscope study on Reissner's fibre of Pristella riddlei Meek and larvae of Salamandra salamandra terrestris it is shown, that there are appositions of cell detritus in the whole length of Reissner's fibre. This observation supports Olsson's theory of a transport function of Reissner's fibre.
