Summary

This article contains additional comments and further data related to my article “The Background of Kummer's Proof of Fermat's Last Theorem for Regular Primes” (this journal, vol. 14, pp. 219–236). The principal addition is the publication of the full text of the paper, referred to in Appendix II of “Background”, which Kummer submitted for publication, and then withdrew, in 1844.
