Abstract

The postulated miscibility gap for mixed oxides CuxZn1−xNb2O6 (0.85<x<1.0) is investigated. X-ray absorption near edge structure at the Cu-K edge reveals information about the copper coordination in these compounds. CuNb2O6 transforms from its lower symmetric modification to Pbcn symmetry on grinding.
