Abstract

The quinacrine-fluorescence karyotype was analysed in 7 rats of Wistar-King A (WKA/Mk) and Wistar (W/Mk) strains. All 20 pairs of autosomes and the X and Y chromosomes have been identified. No polymorphic band has been found within or between the strains. The characteristic banding pattern of each pair was described, and the idiogram of WKA/Mk rat was presented.
