Additional information

Gustav Holst (1874–1934) offered the inspiration for much of this piece in the form of his magnificent suite written during the First World War. Called “The Planets”, his unique masterpiece deals with the astrologic characters of the planets of our solar system. Holst's power with sonics and rhythms has always impressed me, thus my tribute to him was inevitable. — J. O.
