Multiple sclerosis associated with defective neuromuscular transmission

Zusammenfassung

Die klinische und elektromyographische Untersuchung einer 38jährigen Frau mit multipler Sklerose ergab Zeichen eines myasthenischen Syndromes. Bei der repetitiven Reizung des rechten Ulnarnerves mit hoher Frequenz und Ableitung von M. interosseus dorsalis I ergab sich eine Abnahme der Potentialgröße, jedoch keine Potenzierung. Nach der Reizung zeigte sich eine posttetanische Ermüdung. Nach Prostigmin war eine offensichtliche Verbesserung der neuromuskulären Reizübertragung sichtbar. Mögliche Mechanismen, welche eine Beziehung von multipler Sklerose und myasthenischem Syndrom erklären könnten, werden kurz diskutiert.
