Summary
A patient with left subdural hematoma and bilateral asterixis is described. A metabolic disorder was excluded. It was concluded that the bilateral asterixis was secondary to diencephalic compression and its presence did not rule out a structural brain disease.
Zusammenfassung
Ein Patient mit linksseitigem subduralen Hämatom und bilateraler Asterixis wird beschrieben. Es ergab sich kein Hinweis für eine metabolische Störung. Wir sind der Ansicht, daß die bilaterale Asterixis Folge einer Zwischenhirnkompression gewesen ist und daß ihre Erscheinung nicht eine strukturelle Gehirnkrankheit ausschließt.
