On the relation between lobular angiomatosis and angiosarcomas of the breast

Summary

A 38 year old woman showed first a lobular angiomatosis of the breast with regular neoplastic capillaries. After about one year multiple nodules of an angiosarcoma appeared. Their origin from the angiomatosis is suggested by the sequence of the lesions and for topical and histogenetic reasons.

Zusammenfassung

Bei einer 38jährigen Frau hatten sich auf dem Boden einer lobulären Angiomatose mit „ruhigen“ capillären Gefäßneubildungen, die schon mindestens 1 Jahr lang bestanden hat, multiple lokale hämorrhagische Knoten von endotheliomatösem und solidsarkomatösem Bau (Angiosarkome) gebildet. Eine Entstehung dieser lokalen Angiosarkome auf Basis der Angiomatose läßt sich aus der zeitlichen, räumlichen und histogenetischen Beziehung beider Geschwulstformen ableiten.
