Abstract
We report herein the case of a 56-year-old woman who was diagnosed as having a parathyroid tumor after she presented with hip joint pain and gait disturbance. She underwent surgery and the resected tumor, which weighed approximately 70g, was found to be an unusually large adenoma of the parathyroid, detected on the basis of clinical findings and dual-tracer parathyroid and CT images.
