Abstract

The Air Resources Branch of the Ontario Ministry of the Environment currently operates two deposition monitoring networks designed with the general objective of understanding wet and dry deposition across the Province of Ontario. In both the daily (used interchangeably with the term event) and cumulative (28-day) networks, both wet-only precipitation and air filter samples are collected. Some of the major components of the quality assurance (QA) program of these networks are discussed. Preliminary quality control (QC) results obtained during 1983–84 are presented.
