Zusammenfassung
In Ergänzung früher publizierter Ergebnisse wurde versucht, den Effekt des BOM-Tonus and der BOM-Kontraktion beim Meerschweinchen quantitativ zu erfassen. Das Untersuchungsergebnis läßt den Schluß zu, daß der BOM-Tonus im Wachzustand and bei mittleren Lärmpegeln, die sicher unterhalb der Reflexschwelle liegen, einen Mittelwert hat. In Narkose and unter d-Tubo-Curarinwirkung ist der Tonus praktisch aufgehoben. Succinylcholin führt zu einer tonischen Kontraktur der BOM. Die Muskelmasse der BOM hat bei erheblicher Tonusminderung auf die Schallübertragung mittlerer Lärmpegel im Mittelohr offenbar keinen Einfluß mehr. Kontraktionen des M. tensor tympani haben ihren Haupteffekt auf die Schallubertragung im Mittelohr im Frequenzbereich unterhalb 600 Hz. Daneben werden auch die Frequenzen zwischen 1 and 2 kHz und von 3–6 kHz vermindert übertragen. Manueller Zug an der Stapediussehne hatte Minderung der Schallubertragung etwa im gleichen Frequenzbereich zur Folge.
Unter Berücksichtigung von aus Untersuchungen anderer Autoren bekannten Besonderheiten des BOM-Reflexes (rasches Nachlassen der Kontraktion bei Dauerton, Habituation, nennenswerter Effekt fast ausschließlich im Tieftonbereich) kann angenommen werden, daß die von uns am narkotisierten Tier gefundene kritische Belastungsschwelle des Cortiorgans durch die intakte Funktion des BOM-Reflexes für Belastungsbedingungen, wie in unseren Versuchen (frequenz- und intensitätskonstanter Dauerton) nicht nennenswert verändert wird.
