Familial dermal eccrine cylindroma (Turban Tumor) —A report of two cases with emphasis on the surgical approach

Summary

Two patients with familial dermal eccrine cylindroma of the scalp and the face are reported. This rare, disfiguring disease may represent a serious challenge to plastic surgeons. The scant literature on this subject is reviewed, and all modalities of surgical treatment are discussed. A rather conservative approach is recommended for less florid cases.
