Abstract
A computer program written in BASIC II is described which allows the toxicity determination of industrial effluents to be calculated. Parameters of interest incorporated are LC50, 95 % confidence intervals, intercept, logit slope, and correlation coefficient. Calculation of in-stream waste concentration to determine whether the particular effluent needs to be pretreated or not is also included in the program based on the Biomonitoring protocol prepared by NPDES (USEPA, 1979). This program can be run on a microcomputer for routine studies.
