Abstract
The frequency of the three most common Hp-phenotypes has been determined in 216 propositi with diabetes mellitus, 183 patients with parenchymal liver disease—especially acute and chronic hepatitis as well as liver cirrhosis — and 203 persons with psoriasis vulgaris. The distribution in these diseases are compared with 685 serum samples from healthy inhabitants of South-Niedersachsen with a Hp1 gene frequency of 0.4058. The frequency of the Hp1 gene, in diabetes mellitus is 0.3912, in liver diseases 0.4262 and in psoriasis vulgaris 0.3720. These differences are statistically not significant in all three samples.
