A rare and misleading lesion

Summary

Tuberculosis of the sternum is an extremely rare localization, which may pose diagnostic and therapeutic problems. Adequate treatment consists of resection of all diseased soft and bony tissues and of tuberculostatic medication. Two cases are presented. We have not found any similar case reports in the literature.
