Summary

Postmetaphase aberrations were significantly higher in cultures of human leukocytes treated with N, N, N′-tris-(2-chloroethyl)-N′, O-propylene phosphoric acid ester diamide (Z 4828) and N-(2-chloroethyl)-N′-(2-chloroethyl)-N′, O-propylene phosphoric acid ester diamide (Z 4942) than in untreated controls. The pattern of the intrachromosomal distribution of 1000 breaks each was significantly nonrandom. Clear clusters of breaks occured for instance in the distal segments of chromosomes numbered 1, 2, 4–5, 6–12 and X, and 13–15. Further experiments are necessary to interpret these data.
