Abstract
Data are presented on the chromosome number and karyotype of a population of BHK 21 C13 cells. By use of the quinacrine staining technique a precise classification of all but two pairs of C13 chromosomes is proposed. The mean relative lengths of metaphase chromosomes in a sample of conventionally stained cells are compared with those of a sample of quinacrine stained cells.
