Summary
Being incubated for several hours Ehrlich ascites tumor cells require glucose in order to maintain or to increase their concentration of nucleotides. The minimally required amounts of glucose do not cause production of lactic acid. Glucose is required as component of the newly synthesized nucleotides. Production of energy by aerohic glycolysis is not an essential for the synthesis of nucleotides by Ehrlich ascites tumor cells.
