Meiotic findings in human reciprocal 1;3 translocation

Summary

A balanced reciprocal translocation between chromosomes 1 and 3 was found in an infertile man. Meiotic analysis showed a ring quadrivalent in diakinesis and complete spermatogenic breakdown after the first meiotic division.
