A microculture method for chromosome preparations from total human and rabbit blood

Summary

A simple method for making chromosomal preparations from 10 μl total human and rabbit blood in a culture volume of 0.1 ml was developed. The blood is cultured in an open system in R.P.M.I. 1640 medium with Hepes supplemented with fetal calf serum and phytohaemagglutinin. The culture time is 72 hrs.

Zusammenfassung

Eine einfache Methode für die Herstellung von Chromosomenpräparationen aus 10 μl Vollblut von Mensch und Kaninchen in einem Kulturvolumen von 0,1 ml wird angegeben. Das Blut wird in einem offenen System in R.P.M.I. 1640-Medium mit Hepes, ergänzt durch fetales Kälberserum und Phytohämagglutinin, kultiviert. Die Kulturzeit beträgt 72 Std.
