Histochemie Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

  1. 1.

The changes in nucleic acids and histones level and the qualitative transformations of DNA were studied by cytophotometry in the activated cells (blastocytes) of epiderm and oesophagus during the first days of Eisenia foetida cephalic regeneration.

  2. 2.

During the first two days a lot of epidermic nuclei are degenerating and have a DNA content below 2n. During the third and fourth days a quarter of blastocytes undertakes DNA synthesis.

  3. 3.

Blastocytes have an higher nuclear RNA content and a lower histone level as compared to the control.

  4. 4.

Cellular activation is going with an increased acidolability of DNA.

Résumé

  1. 1.
