Summary

Using Mu/mini-Mu mixed lysates prepared by induction of Salmonella typhimurium and Klebsiella pneumoniae lysogenic for Mucts62 or the Mu-P1 hybrid, MPhl, and mini-Mu, Mu18A-1, we were able to transfer Arg and His genes from Klebsiella and Salmonella into E. coli K12.
